Sigrid is the Chief Executive Officer of Asia Pacific Real Assets Association (APREA). Based in Singapore, she is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, initiatives and operations of the association across Asia Pacific. Under her leadership, APREA repositioned to an industry trade group focusing on real estate and infrastructure.

Sigrid joined APREA’s executive team in January 2019.

Prior to APREA, she served as Managing Director of Asia Pacific Research and Advisory Services of Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) from 2010 through 2018, where she was responsible for research, thought leadership, strategy formulation and client management.  Before relocating to Singapore, she was based in Washington, D.C. and led C&W’s U.S. research group in the Mid-Atlantic region, overseeing all aspects of market research activities in the Washington, DC; Virginia; Suburban Maryland, Baltimore; and Philadelphia areas. Prior to joining C&W, Sigrid served as a Senior Economist for the National Association of Realtors (NAR). In that position, she developed NAR’s office, warehouse, retail, multi-family housing, and international research programs.

A recognized expert in global economic, public policy and real estate issues, Sigrid is a frequent speaker at industry events.  Her commentary on commercial and residential real estate markets is also regularly featured in a wide array of global publications, including the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Bloomberg, New York Times and Reuters. Additionally, she has made several television appearances on financial networks and radio such as CNBC, Bloomberg, CNN, National Public Radio and Channel News Asia.

Sigrid holds a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management and a Master’s degree in Economics from Pennsylvania State University. She is a member of several civic groups including the Rotary Club of Raffles City in Singapore, where she has served in various leadership positions, and serves in the Executive Committee of the Crohn’s & Colitis Society of Singapore.

Hank Hsu is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Forest Logistics Properties. Formerly the Head of China Investments at Ascendas-Singbridge, an industrial and logistics real estate investment platform under Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, Temasek Holdings, Hank has close to 20 years of experience in real estate investment and fund management. Prior to Ascendas-Singbridge, he served as Investment Director at China Orient Summit Capital (China) and Portman Group (US). He has completed and managed investment transactions totalling nearly USD 6.5 billion in logistics, industrial and mixed-use properties in China and the US. He holds an MBA degree from University of California, Berkeley, and a MDes (Real Estate) from Harvard University.

As the Deputy General Manager of China Overseas Commercial Properties CO., Ltd. (COCP), Angel Tang leads the assets management and leasing effort of COCP’s 6 million-square-meter Grade A office buildings across China and overseas, with her 14 years’ experience in the field of commercial real estate.

As a flagship of the global commercial office asset management brand, COOC(China Overseas Office Capital)was established under Tang’s leadership, it has catapulted COCP’s Office assets business segment into a new phase of comprehensive brand development.

COOC has become one of the largest single ownership office building development brands in China, developing and operating Grade A office buildings across nearly 30 cities.

In order to capture the new trend of work style, smart working brand-OFFICEZIP was established to create a new office ecosystem with a variety of supporting formats for life and business, forming an ecological value circle with complementary customers and products with COOC, Officloud and Officare.

Mr. Geng is the CEO Mainland China of Kailong Group. He is a member of the group executive committee and leads the Group’s mainland China business including business development, investment, RMB Core Fund management and the portfolio / asset management under the core fund , as well as the development of the Group’s China new initiatives. He is one of the key founding members of the China’s first RMB core fund.

Jerry joined KaiLong in 2006 as an Assistant Vice President - Acquisition. Before assuming the role of CEO China, he was a Managing Director –investment and business development, responsible for investment, RMB fundraising and new business development.

Jerry has started his real estate investment career since 2001. Prior to joining KaiLong, he worked for Colliers International as a Senior Investment Manager. He also worked with DTZ (now merged with Cushman Wakefield) and CBRE respectively in the field of research and investment between 2001 and 2004.

Ms. Rachna Lakhotia is currently Vice President, Business Development at Tata Realty & Infrastructure Limited. She leads TRIL’s pan-India team focussing on origination, investments and exits of office real estate projects. In her current role, she has also been instrumental in setting up the commercial real estate platform with a sovereign fund.

With a career spanning over 18 years, she has invested over US$ 500 million while working with international real estate firms like Capitaland and Mapletree. She has spearheaded investment teams to close marquee deals across the key Indian cities while partnering with global institutional investors.

Rachna has completed her MBA from NUS, Singapore and CFA from ICFAI, Delhi. Prior to her MBA, she has worked in the financial services sector with Citi Financial.

Pratik Modi has ~14 years of work experience in real estate investment, asset management, corporate finance, and consulting. In his role at IIFL, is responsible for investments, asset management and exits of real estate investments. He is involved in the end-to-end management of transactions including origination, underwriting, due diligences, & execution. Previously, he was part of Aditya Birla Capital’s real estate fund team deploying capital and managing investment across the country. He was also part of Tata Realty and Infrastructure Limited’s corporate finance team where he was involved in special situation transactions within Tata Group’s infrastructure and real estate businesses. He started his career in Transaction Advisory at Ernst & Young, Mumbai. He is a Chartered Accountant and Commerce graduate from Mumbai University.

Vinod Rohira is a key member of the leadership team that has built K Raheja Corp into one of
the most respected and leading names of Indian real estate. It was he who pioneered the
concept of landmark business districts, premium residential and retail complexes, which have
become benchmarks in Indian real estate.

Equipped with an MBA from Booth School of Business, Chicago, and a law degree from the
Mumbai University, Vinod began his career with the K Raheja Corp, over two decades ago. Over
the years, he has created powerful brands in Residential and Commercial Real Estate, infusing
each with its unique brand identity.

A fine example of his work philosophy has resulted in building brand ‘Mindspace’ – with the
idea of establishing self-contained world-class business districts, across cities; a concept which
has completely revolutionized the Commercial Real Estate sector in India. Vinod’s idea of
integrated business districts was prescient, conceiving a new-age philosophy of ‘live-and-work
in India’.

A highly respected and one of the most senior Real Estate Investment Bankers in India, Diwakar heads the India Capital Markets Group of Savills.

He has been involved in Real Estate Private Equity transactions since 2006 of around USD 2.5 bn across all sectors, product life cycles and across seven major Indian cities.

Throughout his career, he has pioneered deal types and deal sizes across cities.

His focus is to provide a highly investment banking focused pan India advisory practice for Investors, Developers and Landlords and leverage the full spectrum Savills network to provide seamless advisory across domestic, inbound and outbound transactions.

Ms. Tu Luong oversees BW Industrial Development JSC’s business development division and company’s new investment strategies to assist its growth plans in Vietnam. She has 12 years of experience with the majority of this covering private equity real estate investment. Prior to joining BW, she was the Associate Director at Novaland, Senior Manager at VinaCapital.

Dato’ Stewart LaBrooy is a Board member of the Asia Pacific Real Estate Association (APREA). It is the industry body for the suppliers and users of capital in the real estate sector. He served as the founding Chairman of the Malaysian REIT Managers Association (MRMA), from 2010-2015, an organization he helped set up in 2010 to give Malaysian REIT Managers a single voice for the purpose of engagement with the Regulators and Ministry of Finance.

Dato LaBrooy has been writing on a regular basis on Property and REITs for the local mainstream print and online media for the past five years or so, and is known and recognised as the “REIT Guru” in the country. He is also a prominent speaker on the subject of Industrial Estate Development and Conventional and Islamic REITs in the region, having been invited to deliver papers in Singapore, Hong Kong, Istanbul, New York, London, Saudi Arabia, Philippines and Malaysia.

He was appointed Executive Director of Axis REIT on 22 March 2005 and Chief Executive Office (“CEO”) of Axis REIT since August 2008. Axis REIT was the first REIT to be listed in Malaysia and the first Shariah-compliant industrial REIT in the world. Under his leadership, Axis REIT has won several awards, among them, the APREA Best Practices Award in 2010, 2011 and 2013. Axis REIT has provided its investors with total average returns in excess of 25% over the 10 years he helmed the business and still trades today at a 30% premium to NAV. In 2017 Dato’ LaBrooy formed the world’s first unlisted Shariah compliant Education Asset based REIT- Alpha REIT ,which has a planned listing in 2022. He is currently serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Dato’ Stewart LaBrooy is the Executive Chairman of AREA Management Sdn. Bhd. a subsidiary of AREA Advisors Pte Ltd (AREA) an appointment he has taken since his retirement as CEO and Executive Director of Axis REIT Managers Bhd (ARMB) on 31 December 2015. With a career spanning over 40 years in the industrial space, he has spent well over a decade since 2005 in heading Axis REIT and establishing REITs as an important component of the capital markets. Dato’ Stewart LaBrooy is also a director of a number of public and private companies involved in property development, services and property investment.

Since its inception, AREA was established as a boutique advisory firm providing advice on investing in industrial properties in Malaysia, UK, Australia and Germany. AREA has decided to expand its advisory role to include funds management. It has since set up a company that will undertake the investment management activities (the AREA Industrial Development Fund 1 (AIDF 1) and AREA Management Sdn Bhd (AMSB) was set up to undertake the management of the projects of the fund in Malaysia. AREA Advisors Pte Ltd was re-designated as the Funds management company. In November 2015 AIDF 1 launched its first maiden project a 1,200,000 sq. ft. e-commerce hub in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

Dato’ Stewart LaBrooy is also a director of a number of public and private companies involved in property development, services and property investment.

Dr. Michael de Jong-Douglas is Group Head, Customer Solutions & Partnerships at ESR, responsible for overseeing Customer relationships and business development. Michael alsob coordinates the Future Solutions Group (new technologies) across the platform.

With +24 years of experience exclusively in logistics real estate, Michael has previously held leadership roles in Asia and Europe: Deputy CEO / COO for Mapletree Logistics REIT innSingapore and various positions at Prologis including Regional Head Central Europe, Head of Property Management Europe and Head of Due Diligence Continental Europe.

Michael has a PhD in Urban Planning & Applied Geography from Utrecht University and attended the Executive Development Program at Northwestern University; he also has an MBA, an MS in Geography and a BS in Public Administration & Planning.

Michael is a member of RICS, the ULI Asia Pacific Technology and Innovation Council, the ULI Industrial and Logistics Council and the ANREV Sustainability Committee.
