2015年からインド進出を開始し、インドにおける住宅開発プロジェクトを主な投資対象とするファンド『玄海インドインベストメント』を2019年に組成。当ファンドは本年9月より、ムンバイの分譲マンション開発(住宅の総床面積:約17,500m2)に投資を開始している。玄海キャピタル設立前は、2004年から株式会社福岡リアルティにて代表取締役社長を務め、福岡リート投資法人を組成し上場を果たす。1999年から2004年にはリーマンブラザーズにおいて同社の自己勘定不良債権及び不動産投資のリーシングを統括。それ以前は12年間三井不動産に在籍し、米国における約10億USDのポートフォリオ収益不動産のファイナンスの経験もある。
玄海キャピタルは、バリューアップ戦略を得意とするファンドマネジメント業務と専門家チームによるアドバイザリー業務を中心とした独立系不動産投資顧問会社。2006年設立、現在のAUMは約400億円。
As founder/CEO of Genkai Capital Management (GCM), a real estate investment management firm with AUM of 40B yen, Matsuo established a Japanese fund focused on development projects in India. The fund has just started investing in a multi-family project with 189K sqf. Prior to founding GCM in 2006, he originated and completed the IPO of Fukuoka REIT Corporation (J- REIT), as president of Fukuoka Realty Co., Ltd. He also has 5-year experience in the Global Real Estate Group of Lehman Brothers in Japan, and 12-year experience at Mitsui Fudosan, during which he managed about 100B yen in assets in US.

A product of Tajimi Kita High School in Gifu, Mr. Kato’s journey towards excellence began with his active participation in basketball and rugby, shaping his character with the values of teamwork and determination. Fuelled by a passion for architecture, he pursued his higher education at the prestigious University of Tokyo, graduating in 1991 and laying the groundwork for a distinguished career ahead.
Mr. Kato commenced his professional voyage with Sumitomo Corporation in 1991, marking the inception of a remarkable journey in the real estate industry. Throughout his tenure, he has been instrumental in spearheading numerous iconic projects, including Decks Tokyo Beach, Queens Square Yokohama, Harumi Triton Square, and Kanda Square. His extensive international exposure, with 5.5 years in Jakarta and another 4 years in New York on assignments, imbues his leadership with a global perspective and invaluable insights.
A testament to his leadership prowess, Mr. Kato has held pivotal roles at Sumitomo Corporation, including General Manager of the Overseas Real Estate Department and the Domestic Office Investment Department. Notably, he holds esteemed national licences as a first-class architect, real estate broker and certified master of real estate securitization, underscoring his deep-rooted expertise and commitment to excellence.

Hiro leads Cushman & Wakefield’s cross-border, multi-service line projects. Based in Japan, he works with top companies to address their global corporate real estate needs.
Before joining Cushman & Wakefield, Hiro managed an investment advisory firm, and has worked for PwC Consulting to lead projects for Japanese manufacturers, and logistics/utilities companies.
His knowledge and expertise allows him to head the Japan Desk – covering everything from market research and consultation to acquisition, disposition, leasing, and portfolio management.

Kemmu Kawai joined Longevity Partners Japan in September 2022 as the Country Director. Based in Tokyo, he oversees all operations and activities in Japan, the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. He brings him more than 16 years of experience in finance where he specialised in real estate and credit investments. Before joining Longevity Partners, he served as a Portfolio Manager at Norinchukin Bank and as Investment Manager at Center Point Development.
