The Asia Pacific Real Assets Association (APREA) invites researchers to apply for a competitive grant to produce an outstanding piece of research on real estate tokenization.

We are looking for an in-depth, forward-looking, thought leadership piece that will advance the industry’s understanding on the future of real estate tokenization. Ideally, the research should cover areas such as the evolution/development of real estate tokenization, key industry players, factors contributing to its growth over time, its market potential, implications, and how the industry can leverage the business opportunities. 

The research grant is funded by APREA Chairman John Lim.

Amount of funding

APREA will allocate up to US$20,000 in this round. The research should be a forward-looking, provocative and authoritative thought-leadership piece. For this, a timeline of a maximum of three (3) months from the date of grant will be allowed.

Who is eligible to apply?

Applicants can be individuals or teams of researchers, based in a university, consultancy, or a not-for-profit organization.

Format of proposal

The proposal (in a Word document file) should include the following:

  • Cover Letter (with name and contact details of the research proponent)
  • Title
  • Abstract
  • Introduction/Background
  • Review of Related Literature
  • Research Methodology
  • CV and Short Bio of the Research Proponent(s)
  • Sample Works/Research Portfolio

  • Track record of applicants
  • Research skills and proficiency in the English language
  • Quality of data and industry insights
  • Methodology and proposed outcomes
