National Central Cooling Company PJSC (DFM: Tabreed) is a leading international district cooling utility headquartered in the UAE that provides energy-efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly year-round cooling solutions. Majority owned by Government of Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala (42%) and ENGIE (40%) the company has a strong balance sheet with investment grade ratings by both Fitch and Moody’s and currently delivers 1.35 million refrigeration tons (RT) of cooling services from its 89 plants across 6 countries, eliminating over 1.4 million tons of CO2 emissions annually through its sustainable approach to cooling.

Tabreed India Private Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tabreed Asia Central Cooling Company a 75-25 joint venture between Tabreed UAE and World Bank’s International Finance Corporation (IFC). Tabreed India currently has a 32-year concession to develop Asia’s largest district cooling scheme of 125,000 RT through a design, build, finance, own and operate (DBFOO) model under a public-private partnership for the upcoming Hyderabad Pharma City in Telangana. Tabreed India is actively engaging with several leading real estate developers and institutional investors across the country, for implementing district cooling or stand-alone central cooling plants. In a first of its kind deal structure in India, Tabreed has recently signed a concession with Tata Realty, one of the leading private developers in India, to provide cooling as a service (CAAS) on DBFOO basis for their Grade A commercial campus in Gurugram for cooling loads of 6,600 RT. Tabreed has strong design, engineering and development capabilities in India and is continuing to develop local supply chain and O&M capabilities to ensure global best practices could seamlessly be implemented in the country.
