Singapore  - 16 November 2021. Key market players and industry stakeholders are gearing up for the Asia Pacific Real Assets Leaders’ Congress, where important topics that will shape the future of real assets will be discussed.

Organised by the Asia Pacific Real Assets Association (APREA), the virtual hybrid event is happening from 22 November to 26 November 2021, with five tracks focusing on alternative assets, ESG, REITs and Infrastructure Trusts, property technology, and capital markets.

Among the highlights include:

  • A panel session on investment in affordable housing on Day 1: From Alternative to Mainstream (22 November 2021). This session delves into the challenge of affordable housing, which has gained significant attention from different stakeholders globally. As urbanisation continues, the growth in affordable housing demand is undeniable, although it remains largely as a government initiative. This segment can open up great new investment possibilities for private participation. As part of the session, Knight Frank India’s is launching its latest report, ‘Brick by Brick – long term capital to fund affordable housing for all’.
  • Panel sessions on the REIT resurgence in emerging and mature markets in Day 3: The REIT Resurgence and Infrastructure Trusts Gaining Ground (24 November 2021). The REIT sector has enjoyed strong growth in the Asia Pacific region, with more opportunities still on the horizon. These sessions will consider REIT developments in emerging and developed markets.
  • A panel session on asset owners embracing ESG in Day 4: Delivering Alpha with Impact (25 November 2021). Sponsored by SS&C Intralinks, the session highlights how asset owners have integrated environmental, social and governance (ESG) elements into their investment strategies.

More topics will be covered in the Leaders’ Congress, which features a line-up of thought leaders and trailblazers. The event also includes in-person networking in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Tokyo on 25 November.

APREA invites asset managers, developers, investors, consultants, and other stakeholders in the real assets sector to register for the event. Complimentary passes are available to APREA members. Visit the event page to find out more.
