APREA China New Economy Real Assets Seminar Series Rental Housing & Rental Apartments

As China’s economy shifts from high-speed growth to high-quality, emphasis on structural optimization and new growth drivers has never been more crucial. Traditional real estate markets face cyclical challenges, prompting industry leaders to explore innovative trends and models for sustainable development. The growing focus on new economy assets is underscored by the steady advancement of China’s public REITs infrastructure, which brings added momentum and support to this evolving sector.

In response, the Asia Pacific Real Estate Association (APREA) is launching a series of seminars to spotlight new economy real estate in China. These sessions will convene top industry executives and experts to analyze emerging trends, debate business model innovation, and uncover valuable investment opportunities.

Our upcoming session will focus on affordable housing and rental apartments, two sectors gaining prominence with urban expansion and shifting housing demands. We’re pleased to invite executives from institutional investors, real estate funds, and asset managers to exchange insights on the latest market trends, challenges, and opportunities, with a particular emphasis on REITs' pivotal role in driving growth within these sectors.

APREA’s Commitment to Sustainability in Our Events

APREA is committed to making our events more environmentally responsible. We work closely with our event partners, venues, and suppliers to embed sustainability into the way we plan and execute our gatherings across the region. Our goal is to continually reduce our environmental footprint and promote responsible practices across the real assets industry.

Our key sustainability measures in our events include:

  • Sourcing energy-efficient venues with green certifications or demonstrated sustainable operations.
  • Minimizing single-use plastics, including limiting or eliminating plastic water bottles in favor of refill stations or reusable alternatives.
  • Reducing printed materials and handouts.
  • Using recycled or sustainably sourced paper when printing is necessary.
  • Partnering with vendors and caterers who prioritize sustainable sourcing, local produce, and low-waste food practices.
  • Educating attendees on sustainability efforts at the event and encouraging participation in green practices.

Through these steps, we aim to make every APREA event a reflection of our broader commitment to a more responsible and resilient industry.
