About TrustCapital
Established in 2009, TrustCapital is a real estate investment and advisory firm specializing in the structuring and management of wholesale property funds, syndicates, and bespoke advisory mandates. The firm focuses on select real estate markets, core sectors and is sector agnostic basing its investment thesis on a return perspective, asset types include but not limited to commercial offices, logistics, purpose-built student accommodation (“PBSA”), data centres and retail.
TrustCapital is the holder of a capital markets services licence for fund management under the SFA and is regulated by the MAS.
TrustCapital serves as the parent company to TC Advisors Australia Investment Management and TCA Real Estate, which are based in Australia and Malaysia, respectively. TCA Real Estate has a private equity managed corporation registration with the Securities Commission Malaysia.
TrustCapital established its first fund, TrustCapital Advisors Australian Office Fund No. 1 LP (“AOF1”) in November 2010 acquiring 4 properties with total AUM post-acquisition of approximately AUD700 million, followed by TrustCapital Australian Office Trust No. 2 (“AOF2”) in July 2013 acquiring 3 properties with total AUM post-acquisition of approximately AUD400 million. Both AOF1 and AOF2 were exited in 2017 at a combined portfolio value of approximately AUD1.2 billion, which represented the largest single portfolio transaction in Australia that year. The returns achieved for AOF1 and AOF2 were an IRR of 11% and 24% respectively post tax and fees.
TrustCapital currently manages and co-manages:
- An A-Grade office building in Melbourne CBD;
- Office building in Milan;
- A post-graduate student accommodation property in Singapore;
- TrustCapital Malaysia Real Estate Fund 1, investment into Malaysia commercial properties, covering data centre, industrial and central labour quarters; and
- TrustCapital Australian Office Fund No.3, investment into Australia commercial properties.
TrustCapital’s assets under management stand at approximately SGD1.2 billion.
