Sigrid is the Chief Executive Officer of Asia Pacific Real Assets Association (APREA). Based in Singapore, she is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, initiatives and operations of the association across Asia Pacific. Under her leadership, APREA repositioned to an industry trade group focusing on real estate and infrastructure.
Sigrid joined APREA’s executive team in January 2019.
Prior to APREA, she served as Managing Director of Asia Pacific Research and Advisory Services of Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) from 2010 through 2018, where she was responsible for research, thought leadership, strategy formulation and client management. Before relocating to Singapore, she was based in Washington, D.C. and led C&W’s U.S. research group in the Mid-Atlantic region, overseeing all aspects of market research activities in the Washington, DC; Virginia; Suburban Maryland, Baltimore; and Philadelphia areas. Prior to joining C&W, Sigrid served as a Senior Economist for the National Association of Realtors (NAR). In that position, she developed NAR’s office, warehouse, retail, multi-family housing, and international research programs.
A recognized expert in global economic, public policy and real estate issues, Sigrid is a frequent speaker at industry events. Her commentary on commercial and residential real estate markets is also regularly featured in a wide array of global publications, including the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Bloomberg, New York Times and Reuters. Additionally, she has made several television appearances on financial networks and radio such as CNBC, Bloomberg, CNN, National Public Radio and Channel News Asia.
Sigrid holds a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management and a Master’s degree in Economics from Pennsylvania State University. Chris Yang has been working for Cushman & Wakefield’s valuation team for more than 10 years. He has extensive experience in providing valuation and advisory services — for IPO, acquisition, ABS and financial reporting purposes — to real estate developers, property funds, insurance companies, securities companies, banks, and hotel management companies.
Chris Yang has participated in the evaluation of large commercial property asset packages multiple times, including the recent cases of Wanda Group, CapitaLand, Financial Street Holdings, Singapore Government Investment Corporation (GIC) and other companies in mainland China. He has also been actively involved in the evaluation of major asset acquisitions, including assisting Ping An Trust in the acquisition of Zhongguancun Electronics Tower, Grosvenor Fund in the acquisition of Beijing CBD China Merchants Building, and China Life Insurance and GLP in the establishment of a logistics mergers and acquisitions fund; as well as providing professional evaluation services.
As the head of the REIT Practice Group at Cushman & Wakefield, Chris Yang has participated in more than 135 Quasi-REIT and CMBS projects since 2014, with the Greater China Valuation & Advisory team. The cumulative issuance value of more than RMB350 billion ranks first among real estate appraisal agencies in Greater Chia. Recent landmark projects include Poly, Country Garden, Yuexiu, OCT and other rental housing Quasi-REITs; as well as commercial property asset securitization of Joy City, Bailian Group, Sino-Ocean Real Estate, Cainiao Network, Capital Grande, and Beijing Hualian.
Following the pilot launch of China’s infrastructure-focused REITs in 2020, Chris Yang and the Valuation & Advisory team actively participated in the formulation of relevant policies and guidelines, and have participated in the valuation of five pilot China infrastructure-focused REITs: GLP Warehouse Logistics, China Merchants Shekou Business Park, Suzhou Business Park, Yantian Port Logistics, Beijing Zhongguancun Business Park and the Shougang environmental protection treatment project.

Yidong Wei has been practising law at Zhong Lun Law Firm since 2005. He specializes in all aspects of real estate transactions, including advising international and domestic institutional clients on (i) their formation of real estate funds and trusts, establishment of foreign-invested real estate enterprises (FIREEs) and joint ventures, (ii) bulk sale and purchase of completed real properties or construction in progress, (iii) structured financing for real estate projects, (iv) assets management including leasing of office space, retail shops, or shopping malls and outlets, (v) land related matters, and (vi) capital markets related matters including issuance and listing of REITs.
Yidong Wei has significant practice in advising institutional investors on offshore REITs, and China quasi-REITs, which are special asset management schemes supervised by the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC). With such expertise, Yidong Wei was deeply involved in first batch of pilot schemes for establishing China Real Investment Trusts (C-REITs). He acted a lead partner in issuance and listing of Bosera China Merchants Shekou Industrial Park Infrastructure REIT and assisted Gfund, a mutual fund manager, in obtaining a conformity letter from National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) in respect of Gfund CRCC Yusui Highway Infrastructure REIT, which is expected to be approved by CSRC in respect of its registration soon. Yidong Wei is also assisting other mutual funds managers in their attempts of establishment of pipeline C-REITs.

Nobuhiro Naitou is an Executive Managing Director at the Association for Real Estate Securitization (ARES), based in Tokyo.
After graduating from the University of Tokyo in 1981, Mr. Naito joined Mitsui Fudosan. After working at various sections, he became a Section Manager in the Real Estate Securitization Department in 2000 and played a major role in the founding of the Nihon Building Fund Investment Corporation. In 2009, he was seconded to ARES, then to Graduate School of Public Policy, the University of Tokyo and served as Project Professor until March 2014. He has been in the current position since May 2015.

Damon Wang is Head of Asia-Pacific, Public Real Estate Securities at Heitman. He helps the global real estate securities team to cover both listed REITs and REOCs in the region, including Japan, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong markets.
Before Heitman, Damon worked for LaSalle Investment Management Securities in Hong Kong for about seven years, covering key Asian markets, including Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore.
He graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and is a holder of CFA and FRM.

Ms. Kong is a Senior Lead Japan Analyst on AEW’s Asia Pacific real estate securities team. Based in Singapore, she focuses on analyzing listed real estate companies and real estate markets in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining AEW, Ms. Kong worked at Aviva Investors Asia in Singapore as a portfolio manager with responsibility for Asian real estate mandates and, previously, as an analyst with key- person responsibility for research on property companies in Japan and Singapore. Prior to Aviva, Ms. Kong served as an equities analyst for Aetos Capital Management in Hong Kong with responsibility for fundamental research on a broad spectrum of Asian real estate companies. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Tokyo and is fluent in Japanese and Mandarin. Ms. Kong also is a CFA charterholder and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation.

Mr. Zhu Qingheng (Thomas), has a PhD in Real Estate Finance and 11 years of experience in the securitisation industry. He joined Penghua Fund Management Co. Ltd. in July 2011, undertaking research and analytical roles. He was an assistant researcher in the International Business Department, Investment Manager and currently he is the Fund Manager of the International Business Department. Mr. Zhu became the Fund Manager of Penghua U.S.A Real Estate Securities Investment Fund in September 2014. He has proven to have sufficient experience, knowledge and qualifications in fund management.

Mr. Hubert CHAK ("Mr. CHAK") has extensive experience in real estate and financial industries. He joined Link Asset Management Limited, the manager of Link Real Estate Investment Trust, in June 2010 and was its director of finance when he left in December 2018. He was also one of its responsible officers from September 2010 to August 2018. Prior to that, he was an executive director of CSI Properties Limited from April 2007 to May 2010. He also held various senior management positions at Pacific Century group between October 1999 and February 2007 and was an executive director of Pacific Century Premium Developments Limited from May 2004 to February 2007.
Mr. CHAK holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from University of Wales (currently known as Cardiff University) in the United Kingdom.

Edmund Ho is the Regional Head of Commercial Real Estate, Greater China & North Asia, for Standard Chartered Bank. With a team of 30 plus bankers based in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Seoul, he manages the bank’s Commercial and Investment Banking business targeting highly selected group of property developers and property institutional investors in the regions. Edmund’s business scope comprises loans (corporate and project levels), leverage financing (bridge and acquisition finance), capital markets (bonds and bank syndications), corporate advisory (M&A and private placement), and balance sheet management (transaction banking and financial markets/hedging). Edmund is also responsible for managing the bank’s real estate loan exposure in the regions he covers.
Edmund has over 25 years of corporate banking and investment banking experience. He joined Standard Chartered Bank in June 2009 after heading Citibank’s Real Estate Investment Banking franchise in Asia Pacific as a Managing Director. Prior to Citibank, Edmund was a Greater China investment banker at JP Morgan and Jardine Fleming. Edmund has a BSc degree in Engineering Physics from Queen’s University (Kingston, Ontario) and an MBA from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Edmund is also a chartered holder of CFA.

Chen has overall responsibility for international business group and cross-border investment activities in COS-Capital. Since co-founding COS Capital, he has led the group in deploying nearly USD 400mn equity capital into US real estate, ranging from core-plus to value-add to opportunistic projects. From 2007 to 2013, Mr. Chen was Managing Director & Head of Global Real Estate (GRE) - Greater China at UBS Global Asset Management. He was responsible for managing and developing the GRE business as well as the strategic initiatives in the region. He was a member of the Asia Pacific Management Committee of UBS Global Asset Management. He spearheaded the establishment of the UBS/Gemdale JV. While serving as Co-CEO for the JV, he successfully led the launch of its first China Real Estate Fund and served as the principal manager for the fund. Joining UBS in 2003 as the Global Head of Research & Strategy, Mr. Chen was responsible for developing investment strategies and conducting portfolio analysis, as well as providing economic, capital market and real estate market analysis in both private and public markets. He served on various global, regional and country investment committees and boards. Further back, Mr. Chen was Principal - Investment Strategies Group at Lend Lease Real Estate Investments for three years. Earlier, he held various investment positions at Boston Financial, SSR Realty Advisors and MetLife Realty Group. He sits on the Board of Asia Pacific Real Estate Association and the Advisory Board of the Global Chinese Real Estate Congress. He was a board member of American Real Estate Society from 2004 to 2009 and a member of the Advisory Board of Real Estate Research Institute from 2003 to 2008. And in 2004-2009, he was a member of the Editorial Boards for Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management and Journal of Real Estate Literature. He holds a PhD from MIT, MS from UBC, and a bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University.

Kemmu Kawai joined Longevity Partners Japan in September 2022 as the Country Director. Based in Tokyo, he oversees all operations and activities in Japan, the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. He brings him more than 16 years of experience in finance where he specialised in real estate and credit investments. Before joining Longevity Partners, he served as a Portfolio Manager at Norinchukin Bank and as Investment Manager at Center Point Development.
