Sigrid is the Chief Executive Officer of Asia Pacific Real Assets Association (APREA). Based in Singapore, she is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, initiatives and operations of the association across Asia Pacific. Under her leadership, APREA repositioned to an industry trade group focusing on real estate and infrastructure.

Sigrid joined APREA’s executive team in January 2019.

Prior to APREA, she served as Managing Director of Asia Pacific Research and Advisory Services of Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) from 2010 through 2018, where she was responsible for research, thought leadership, strategy formulation and client management.  Before relocating to Singapore, she was based in Washington, D.C. and led C&W’s U.S. research group in the Mid-Atlantic region, overseeing all aspects of market research activities in the Washington, DC; Virginia; Suburban Maryland, Baltimore; and Philadelphia areas. Prior to joining C&W, Sigrid served as a Senior Economist for the National Association of Realtors (NAR). In that position, she developed NAR’s office, warehouse, retail, multi-family housing, and international research programs.

A recognized expert in global economic, public policy and real estate issues, Sigrid is a frequent speaker at industry events.  Her commentary on commercial and residential real estate markets is also regularly featured in a wide array of global publications, including the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Bloomberg, New York Times and Reuters. Additionally, she has made several television appearances on financial networks and radio such as CNBC, Bloomberg, CNN, National Public Radio and Channel News Asia.

Sigrid holds a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management and a Master’s degree in Economics from Pennsylvania State University. She is a member of several civic groups including the Rotary Club of Raffles City in Singapore, where she has served in various leadership positions, and serves in the Executive Committee of the Crohn’s & Colitis Society of Singapore.

A sustainability practitioner for over two decades, Esther published the first sustainability report in Singapore in 2008 and issued the first green bond by a Singapore company in 2017. Conferred the 2018 SDG Pioneer for Green Infrastructure and A Low Carbon Economy by the UN Global Compact, and named amongst 25 Trailblazing Women against Climate Change by Reuters in 2023 as well as the inaugural TIME100 Climate Leaders in Business 2023 list, Esther sits on the boards or advisory platforms of international organizations including:

She founded Women4Green and Youth4Climate networks to empower women and youths to champion climate action and sustainable development.

As the Deputy General Manager of China Overseas Commercial Properties CO., Ltd. (COCP), Angel Tang leads the assets management and leasing effort of COCP’s 6 million-square-meter Grade A office buildings across China and overseas, with her 14 years’ experience in the field of commercial real estate. 

As a flagship of the global commercial office asset management brand, COOC(China Overseas Office Capital)was established under Tang’s leadership, it has catapulted COCP’s Office assets business segment into a new phase of comprehensive brand development.

COOC has become one of the largest single ownership office building development brands in China, developing and operating Grade A office buildings across nearly 30 cities.

In order to capture the new trend of work style, smart working brand-OFFICEZIP was established to create a new office ecosystem with a variety of supporting formats for life and business, forming an ecological value circle with complementary customers and products with COOC, Officloud and Officare.

Anita Marangoly George has been an investor backing early trends with winning partners and established a distinguished track record in sustainable investments across the globe. She began her career as a Young Professional at the World Bank based in Washington DC and worked on infrastructure in Latin America, Eastern and Central Europe. She worked with Siemens AG to set up Siemens Financial Services in India and supported projects in Telecom and Power sectors. Anita spent 22 years at the World Bank Group with 14 of those years with the IFC in Infrastructure and Natural Resources, Municipal Finance and initiated the creation of IFC’s Venture group. She gained extensive and diverse global experience in institutional finance and investing in sustainable infrastructure in Renewable Energy, Logistics and Water from early stage to established companies across several geographies – Asia, Europe, Latin America, Middle East and Africa. She has demonstrated success in anticipating trends and technological disruptions and has helped her organizations adopt new business models and platforms to adapt to new developments and to the needs of underserved populations.

Anita has had several roles in the last five and a half years with CDPQ. She established CDPQ’s office in India and soon after became Executive Vice President and Head of Emerging Markets at CDPQ. Her final post at CDPQ was as Executive Vice President and Deputy Head of CDPQ Global covering all geographies outside of Canada. Supporting investments in renewable energy, highways, telecom, and venture fund investments in Emerging Markets.

Anita has served on 10 boards of which 5 have been in the financial sector. As a board member, she has focused on helping the board anticipate and be proactive about key strategic issues that could disrupt the company, and risk and compliance from a statutory, regulatory and legal perspective. Anita has been critical in helping companies globalize and in anticipating and addressing technology and people as two essential pillars of success.

Anita George is passionate about and committed to human capital development and economic empowerment of women and girls. She is actively engaged in mentoring women and girls. Anita serves on non-profit boards and advisory boards/councils involved in Recovery and Resilience, Human Capital Development, Technology and Climate Finance, and Sustainable Infrastructure.

Akemi specializes in tax consulting for financial institutions/real estate companies, supporting her clients with the development of various investment funds and financial products. She has 30 years of experience, from the start of the J-REIT market, dedicated to serving fund managers and investors (multinational companies, pension funds), advising on both inbound and outbound strategies for tax effective market entry, distribution arrangements and investment structuring.

Akemi is an active participant in tax policy discussions, advising as well as attending workshops and committees sponsored by government agencies and industry associations.

Akemi has authored various articles and books on the tax treatment of investment structures, JREITs, cross-border securitization and on topical financial services tax issues. Akemi is a member of the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CPA) and Japanese Licensed Tax Accountant (LTA) Association. She is a graduate of the Law Faculty of Kyoto University.

PwC入所以来、金融、特に投資運用業の税務を専門とし、J-REITを含む不動産投資ファンド、プライベートエクイィティ、ベンチャ―投資ファンドやヘッジファンド、資産流動化をはじめとする金融取引・不動産取引に関する税務コンサルティングに約30年にわたり従事。 J-REITやプライベートエクイティ投資の創生期からファンド立上の税務アドバイスを行っており、インバウンド・アウトバウンド双方のクロスボーダー案件のアドバイス経験を豊富に有している。海外年金や海外ファンドによる日本の金融資産や不動産投資案件に係るアドバイスの他、日本の年金や法人投資家による海外ファンド投資や日本の投資家を対象とする海外投資ファンド組成に係る案件に多数関与。また、官公庁やファンド業界団体の税制改正等に関する検討会メンバーを数多く務めるとともに、官公庁の各種調査業務を担当してきた。

主な著書には「投資ストラクチャーの税務」（至第11訂版）、「信託の税務」　（税務経理協会） 「不動産投信の実務」「基礎解説　証券化の税務」（中央経済社）等がある。

Donna Hutchings is the Managing Director and Head of Asia Pacific at Citco Fund Services. With over 15 years at Citco, Donna has been instrumental in overseeing operations and client services across multiple global offices, including Sydney, Dublin, New Jersey, and Singapore. She currently leads a team dedicated to delivering expert knowledge and innovative solutions to clients in the Asia Pacific region.
Donna's experience in the fund services industry includes her previous roles HSBC Alternative Funds Services, formerly Bank of Bermuda, where she worked in Bermuda, South Africa, and New York. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce, is a Chartered Accountant in Canada, and a Chartered Financial Analyst.
