APREA Opening New Doors for Investments in APAC: South Korea

Theme: Resilience and Growth Prospects in Korea Property Markets Beyond COVID-19

Date and Time: 8th December 2021, 2:00 pm Korea Time

The Korean real estate investment market has continued to demonstrate strong growth. Investors continue to actively invest in Korea's commercial real estate market, driven by relatively higher investment yields as compared to other mature Asian markets as well as  low volatility.  APREA is pleased to partner with Cushman & Wakefield for this investor forum on the 8th of December focusing on the investment environment in Korea, especially what investors could expect post-COVID.

In this webinar, speakers will focus on finding opportunities in the current marketplace and address the following questions and more:

  • Why are REITs proving resilient and what is their significance in the investor portfolio?
  • What will 2022 bring for the Korea economy, office, retail, industrial & logistics and investment property markets?
  • What factors are driving availability of opportunities in the short term and what motivating factors are driving investor appetite during these times?
  • How have investment yields and valuations moved to-date and where are they going into 2022?
  • What are the challenges faced by investors in today’s environment and how to overcome them in order to close deals post-COVID?

APREA’s Commitment to Sustainability in Our Events

APREA is committed to making our events more environmentally responsible. We work closely with our event partners, venues, and suppliers to embed sustainability into the way we plan and execute our gatherings across the region. Our goal is to continually reduce our environmental footprint and promote responsible practices across the real assets industry.

Our key sustainability measures in our events include:

  • Sourcing energy-efficient venues with green certifications or demonstrated sustainable operations.
  • Minimizing single-use plastics, including limiting or eliminating plastic water bottles in favor of refill stations or reusable alternatives.
  • Reducing printed materials and handouts.
  • Using recycled or sustainably sourced paper when printing is necessary.
  • Partnering with vendors and caterers who prioritize sustainable sourcing, local produce, and low-waste food practices.
  • Educating attendees on sustainability efforts at the event and encouraging participation in green practices.

Through these steps, we aim to make every APREA event a reflection of our broader commitment to a more responsible and resilient industry.
