APREA Webinar: COVID-19 Disruption: The Path Forward for India Property Market

The Coronavirus outbreak has disrupted the industries, trade, and business cycles, thus halting global economic activity significantly. Indian real estate sector, which was already struggling to re-emerge from the past turbulence of structural changes, policy reforms, and the liquidity crisis, is now set to witness another major fallout. Besides residential, commercial and retail all are witnessing a slowdown.

Even as the Indian economy like all economies is likely to be affected by the Coronavirus pandemic this year, it is still likely to be better off than all other G20 countries. India’s growth projection stands on the top while most of the others are set to dive deep into recession. For instance the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) in its post-Covid-19-outbreak revised growth forecast for G20 countries in 2020 downgraded projected FY21 GDP growth of India to 2.1 per cent but when compared to other G20 countries India will be the fastest-growing this year.

Amongst this turmoil what will be the emerging trends for the Indian Real estate market, what will be the learnings from this crisis, how will India find its feet – come and listen to the experts.

APREA’s Commitment to Sustainability in Our Events

APREA is committed to making our events more environmentally responsible. We work closely with our event partners, venues, and suppliers to embed sustainability into the way we plan and execute our gatherings across the region. Our goal is to continually reduce our environmental footprint and promote responsible practices across the real assets industry.

Our key sustainability measures in our events include:

  • Sourcing energy-efficient venues with green certifications or demonstrated sustainable operations.
  • Minimizing single-use plastics, including limiting or eliminating plastic water bottles in favor of refill stations or reusable alternatives.
  • Reducing printed materials and handouts.
  • Using recycled or sustainably sourced paper when printing is necessary.
  • Partnering with vendors and caterers who prioritize sustainable sourcing, local produce, and low-waste food practices.
  • Educating attendees on sustainability efforts at the event and encouraging participation in green practices.

Through these steps, we aim to make every APREA event a reflection of our broader commitment to a more responsible and resilient industry.
