Submission was done to address the following concerns raised by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs, in relation to the subject of trusts, and specifically real estate investment trusts (“REITs”) and infrastructure investment trusts
- availing loans from banks and financial institutions.
- investment by foreign portfolio investors (“FPIs”) in debt securities issued by Trusts; and
- the legal framework for enforcement options for such financing.
