Anubhav Gupta is a global award-winning design thinker, strategist and innovator whose work straddles both the business and design worlds across industries and asset classes. He strongly believes in putting the customer at the heart of every enterprise and using design thinking as a strong business horizontal to connect verticals for sustainable innovation and to fuel responsible business growth. For him, primary insight, applied analytics, authentic storytelling, crafted making, technology used smartly and a focus on omni-channel experience make for a memorable customer relationship for any well-designed product or service.

Anubhav founded the GPL Design Studio at Godrej – a unique multi-disciplinary innovation engine with a mandate for design, product development, brand building and creation of unique customer experiences. He currently serves as Executive Vice President at Godrej Properties where he leads as Business Head for the redevelopment of Godrej’s land holdings in Vikhroli. Additionally, he also serves as the company’s Chief CSR and Sustainability Officer. Using the Triple Bottom Line principle for sustainability, Anubhav is actively championing social responsibility by putting people and the environment first.

Anubhav was educated at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the University of Cambridge as an architect, urban designer and economist. He has lived and worked in Mumbai, London, Hong Kong and Boston. He has served on several global juries and represented thought leadership at various industry events. He is also a published author and has taught at leading international institutions in the United States, United Kingdom, China and India. He has written for and has been profiled in publications like Hindustan Times, Mint, Livemint, Business Standard, Forbes, Mondo Arc, ELLE DECOR, Indian Architect and Builder to name a few. Additionally in 2017, he was as one of Asia’s 40 under 40 by Perspective Magazine. In 2019 he won Design Thinker of the Year at the first Design Thinking Summit and Awards by UBS Forums. The same year, he was the only Indian on the jury of iF Design Awards, which had a panel of 67 design professionals from the world over judge thousands of products in over 5 categories. He was also on the jury of Kyoorius Design Awards, and has spoken at India Design ID’s symposium, New Delhi and FoAID, Mumbai.
