John Lim

Mr Lim is Chairman of the Asia Pacific Real Estate Association (“APREA”), the Consultative Committee to the Department of Real Estate, National University of Singapore, Straits Real Estate and Lim Hoon Foundation. He is a Patron of Jurong Spring Citizens’ Consultative Committee and the Securities Investors Association of Singapore (“SIAS”). He is also a board member of Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry and an Independent Director and Chairman of the remuneration committee of Singapore-listed Teckwah Industrial Corporation Limited.

Mr John Lim is Co-Founder, Group Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of ARA Asset Management Limited. He is a Non-Executive Director of ARA Asset Management (Fortune) Limited, ARA Trust Management (Suntec) Limited, ARA Asset Management (Prosperity) Limited and Hui Xian Asset Management Limited. Mr Lim is also the Chairman of APM Property Management Pte. Ltd. and Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Services Pte. Ltd.

Mr Lim has more than 30 years of experience in the real estate industry and has received many notable corporate awards. These include the PERE Global Awards 2016 Industry Figure of the Year: Asia, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of the Year Singapore 2012 and the Outstanding CEO of the Year 2011 at the Singapore Business Awards 2012. Mr Lim, along with the Board of Directors of ARA, is also a recipient of the prestigious Best Managed Board (Gold) Award at the Singapore Corporate Awards 2012. In 2017, he was conferred the Public Service Medal (PBM) by the President of Singapore in recognition of his contributions to the community.

Mr Lim holds a Bachelor of Engineering (First Class Honours) in Mechanical Engineering, a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering, as well as a Diploma in Business Administration, each from the National University of Singapore.


Ada Wong

Ms. Wong is the Chief Executive Officer of Champion Real Estate Investment Trust, overseeing its strategic development as well as asset management and enhancement. She also spearheads the team to seek for growth opportunities, formulate acquisition and investment strategies and monitor the capital structure of the Trust, including the planning and overseeing of capital raising activities from the market.

Ms. Wong has over 15 years’ experience in local and overseas financial industry. Prior to joining the Trust, she worked at Citigroup and J.P. Morgan's investment banking division to offer strategic advices to a number of blue chip corporates and Hong Kong real estate companies. She has also executed numerous landmark IPOs, capital markets fund-raisings and strategic M&A transactions.

Ms. Wong graduated from University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) - Ross School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She was honoured with the titles of Directors Of the Year Awards 2018 – Listed Companies Executive Director by the Hong Kong Institute of Directors and Asia Best CEO by Corporate Governance Asia. She is the Chairperson of Asia Pacific Real Estate Association Hong Kong chapter and a Fellow member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.


Lim Swe Guan

Mr Lim has extensive experience in the investment management and real estate sectors. From 1986 to 1995, he was with Jones Lang Wootton in Sydney, where his last held position was Research Director. He joined Suncorp Investments, Brisbane, Australia and worked as the Portfolio Manager of Property Funds from 1995 to 1997. From 1997 to 2008, he was with the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation, where his last held position was Regional Manager.

From 2008 to 2011, Mr Lim was a Managing Director of GIC Real Estate. His responsibilities included being the Regional Head of Property Investment for Australia, Japan and Southeast Asia and the Global Head of the Corporate Investments Group that invests in public REITs and property companies.

Mr. Lim is currently the Chairman of Cromwell European REIT, the only Pan- European REIT listed on Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited ("SGX- ST”). He also sits on the board of General Property Trust Group and Sunway Berhad. Mr Lim sat on the board of Global Logistic Properties Limited, before it was delisted in2018.

Mr Lim is also a Director of Asia Pacific Real Estate Association Limited.

Mr Lim has a Bachelor of Science in Estate Management from the University of Singapore, Master of Business Administration from the Colgate Darden Graduate School of Business, the University of Virginia and a Chartered Financial Analyst of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts.


Dr Lijian Chen

Mr. Chen has overall responsibility for international business group and cross-border investment activities. From 2007 to 2013, Mr. Chen was Managing Director & Head of Global Real Estate (GRE) - Greater China at UBS Global Asset

Management. He was responsible for managing and developing the GRE business as well as the strategic initiatives in the region. He was a member of the Asia Pacific Management Committee of UBS Global Asset Management. He spearheaded the establishment of the UBS/Gemdale JV. While serving as Co- CEO for the JV, he successfully led the launch of its first China Real Estate Fund and served as the principal manager for the fund. Joining UBS in 2003 as the Global Head of Research & Strategy,

Mr. Chen was responsible for developing investment strategies and conducting portfolio analysis, as well as providing economic, capital market and real estate market analysis in both private and public markets. He served on various global, regional and country investment committees and boards. Further back, Mr. Chen was Principal - Investment Strategies Group at Lend Lease Real Estate Investments for three years. Earlier, he held various investment positions at Boston Financial, SSR Realty Advisors and MetLife Realty Group. He sits on the Board of Asia Pacific Real Estate Association and the Advisory Board of the Global Chinese Real Estate Congress. He was a board member of American Real Estate Society from 2004 to 2009 and a member of the Advisory Board of Real Estate Research Institute from 2003 to 2008. And in 2004-2009, he was a member of the Editorial Boards for Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management and Journal of Real Estate Literature. He holds a PhD from MIT, MS from UBC, and a bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University.


Cheng Hei-Ming

With over 30 years of real estate experience, Mr. Cheng’s work experience has covered a comprehensive range of activities, including ground-up real estate development, real estate investment, fund management, business consulting, commercial banking operations, liquidity, and interest rate risk management.

As one of the key founding members of KaiLong in 2004, Mr. Cheng has built and led the team to become a leading player in Asian Pacific, Greater China and London's vibrant investment and asset management market. Since 2010, KaiLong has established five domestic Rmb funds totaling RMB2.8 billion. The fifth fund, launched in 2016, is the first RMB- denominated open-ended core fund in China, targeting income generating assets with an initial AUM of Rmb3.4 billion and target AUM of over Rmb15 billion. To date, KaiLong has raised a total of 12 domestic and overseas funds and invested over US$3.4 billion in 51 real estate projects. Of these, 29 have already been exited, with excellent risk-adjusted returns.

Before joining KaiLong, Mr. Cheng was the General Manager of Shui On Land. He oversaw the development and operations of Rainbow City, City Apartment, and Hangzhou Xi Hu Tiandi, as well as participating in the construction and operations management of Shanghai Xintiandi. Prior to that, Mr. Cheng held various senior positions with Standard Chartered Bank, including Greater China Head of Finance and Risk and Senior Manager of Marketing and Operations.

With his exceptional credentials, including being former Managing Director, Head of Global Real Estate, Asia Pacific UBS Global Asset Management, Managing Director of AMP Brookfield, a globally listed joint venture with $8 billion assets under management, in addition to his management of two Japanese real estate investment trusts with assets under management of $10 billion, Trevor plays a crucial role as C&G evolves into a multi-disciplinary property and funds management operation.

Dato’ Stewart LaBrooy is a Board member of the Asia Pacific Real Estate Association (APREA), an organization that represents and promotes the real estate asset class in the Asia Pacific region. It is the industry body for the suppliers and users of capital in the real estate sector. He served as the founding Chairman of the Malaysian REIT Managers Association (MRMA), from 2010-2015, an organization he helped set up in 2010 to give Malaysian REIT Managers a single voice for the purpose of engagement with the Regulators and Ministry of Finance.

Dato LaBrooy has been writing on a regular basis on Property and REITs for the local mainstream print and online media for the past five years or so, and is known and recognised as the “REIT Guru” in the country. He is also a prominent speaker on the subject of Industrial Estate Development and Conventional and Islamic REITs in the region, having been invited to deliver papers in Singapore, Hong Kong, Istanbul, New York, London, Saudi Arabia, Philippines and Malaysia.

Dato’ Stewart LaBrooy is the Executive Chairman of AREA Management Sdn. Bhd. a subsidiary of AREA Advisors Pte Ltd (AREA) an appointment he has taken since his retirement as CEO and Executive Director of Axis REIT Managers Bhd (ARMB) on 31 December 2015. With a career spanning over 40 years in the industrial space, he has spent well over a decade since 2005 in heading Axis REIT and establishing REITs as an important component of the capital markets. Dato’ Stewart LaBrooy is also a director of a number of public and private companies involved in property development, services and property investment.

He was appointed Executive Director of Axis REIT on 22 March 2005 and Chief Executive Office (“CEO”) of Axis REIT since August 2008. Axis REIT was the first REIT to be listed in Malaysia and the first Shariah-compliant industrial REIT in the world. Under his leadership, Axis REIT has won several awards, among them, the APREA Best Practices Award in 2010, 2011 and 2013. Axis REIT has provided its investors with total average returns in excess of 25% over the 10 years he helmed the business and still trades today at a 30% premium to NAV. In 2017 Dato’ LaBrooy formed the world’s first unlisted Shariah compliant Education Asset based REIT which has a planned listing in 2021. He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

David Mason is the Chief Executive Officer of Academia Student REIT Management Pte Ltd (“ASRM”), and responsible for the overall direction, operational and financial performance of the Company. He reports to the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Prior to joining ASRM, Mr. Mason was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Cambridge Industrial Trust Management Limited (now ESR REIT Management Limited), the Manager of Cambridge Industrial Trust (now ESR REIT), a real estate investment trust listed on the SGX-ST.

Mr Mason holds a Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) from Birmingham City University and is a Chartered Accountant. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Domenic Panaccio has had a long and distinguished career in senior management of large public companies. From 2010 to 2014 Domenic was Chief Executive Officer of Westfield Retail Trust, one of the largest ASX listed property trusts in Australia. Domenic previously held a number of senior positions including Chief Financial Officer of Westfield America and Chief Financial Officer for the Foster's Group Wine Division, Beringer Blass Wine Estates.

He served as director of a number of private and public companies including Westfield Retail Trust, RE (NZ) Finance Ltd, Re1 Limited and Re2 Limited. Domenic is a Certified Public Accountant, a Graduate and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a director of the Asia Pacific Real Estate Association and the Italian Chamber of Commerce.


Neel Raheja

An alumnus of Harvard Business School and a Masters in Finance & Economics with a Degree in Law, Neel has 24 years of rich business experience. As Group President of K. Raheja Corp, he handles Real Estate & instrumental in setting up IT Parks and Residential townships across India.

Neel is on the board of the Hospitality and Mall development businesses of the group, after initially setting up the renowned mall brand ‘Inorbit Malls’ across the country, one of the top 3 mall companies. On the Hospitality front, he successfully set up hotels with Marriott Group and is now among the top 3 leading hotel companies in India.

Neel also sits on the board of the group company Shoppers Stop, India’s leading department store chain, which has an exclusive strategic tie up with Amazon and one of the largest loyalty programs in India.

He also plays a very active role in the Group’s CSR activities including Education including Schools, business and architecture etc. and Health with the famous LS Raheja Hospital and drives the Group’s growth through Green Building initiatives of sustainable development.

Neel was selected as the top 40 under 40 by Economic Times and chairs some of the most important committees that shape key industry developments. He is the Co-Chair at CII-National Committee on Real Estate and Housing, the Chairman, India Chapter of APREA, and President, NAREDCO West. Neel has been appointed on the Govt. of India committee to suggest changes in the Special Economic Zone policy and was one of the members of the Champions of Change invited by the Prime Minister of India.

Srini Sriniwasan has been with the Kotak Group since 1993 and currentlyheads Kotak Investment Advisors Limited (KIAL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Kotak Mahindra Bank.

Srini also oversees Kotak Private Equity, Kotak Infrastructure Funds, Kotak Special Situations Fund and Kotak Listed Equities. Overall, Srini manages about USD 2.7Bn in AUM across asset classes. Srini has played a crucial role in setting up and building the Alternate Assets business at KIAL. He established one of India’s first real estate funds in 2005 and steered the growth of the business since its launch.

As one of the earliest fund managers to raise and invest capital in India, Srini has introduced significant financing, financial structuring and negotiating skills in the alternate assets industry.

Srini joined the Kotak Mahindra Group in January 1993. He was a part of Kotak’s investment banking joint venture with Goldman Sachs from inception in 1995, and was also co-head of Kotak Investment Banking till 2005. At Kotak Investment Banking, Srini advised leading domestic and international companies on capital raising, M&A and strategic divestitures.

Srini is a member of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) committee for policy initiatives on Foreign Direct Investment and REITs and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) subcommittee on Capital Markets. He also serves as Chairman for the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), South Asia Valuation Professional Group Board. He is also a Board member of Asia Pacific Real Estate Association Limited (APREA) India Chapter and a member of the Governing Council of Global Real Estate Institute (GRI) – India Chapter. He is a Member of the Executive Committee at the Indian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (IVCA).

Srini holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Delhi University and an MBA from the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad.


Andy Tan Chye Guan

Mr Andy Tan Chye guan is the Chairman of APREA Singapore Chapter, a pan-Asia association for global institutional investors, developers, fund managers and REITs in Asian real estate.

He is the former CEO of Generali Real Estate Asia at Generali Group, a global insurer and Fortune 500 company with €500 billion of assets under management. Prior he was Executive Vice President of MEAG Pacific Star Asset Management where MEAG is Munich Reinsurance asset management arm and Vice President of the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC) real estate arm. Globally, he has invested, developed and managed multi-billion portfolios across Asia, Australia and Europe ranging from indirect listed and unlisted companies, REITs, funds, strategic alliances to direct investment and development assets. He is also the Chairman of TrustCapital, Tenacity Group, former Advisor of Principal Global Investors and serves on the board of Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) Exam Board and The Law Society Inquiry Panel appointed by the Chief Justice. A Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID), he is the former Governing Council Member of SID and served as the Chairman of SID Board Diversity & Appointment Service, Audit Committee Member, Best Managed Board Award Committee amongst others. He therefore brings on board more than 20 years of global and senior management experience in general management, business development, fund management, investment, development and asset management including corporate governance and stewardship experience on the boards of business associations.

Hideki Yano

Hideki Yano is President and CEO of Sumisho Realty Management Co., Ltd (Sumitomo Corporation’s group company) dedicating to institutional real estate advisory services since 2015. He has more than 30 years experience in various types of real estate business with Sumitomo Corporation locally and globally.

In Japan, he held numerous positions responsible for real estate developments, investments and asset management as well as consulting service business in residential, commercial and logistic sectors. In US, he had senior managerial positions between 1992 and 2001, and between 2010 and 2013, being responsible for office investments and residential developments. He received Bachelor of Architecture in 1983 from Kyoto University and he is a licensed architect in Japan. He currently serves on the APREA board of directors as Chairman of Japan Chapter.
